First Black Elected Official Defies Racism In Russia

Russian citizen Jean Gregoire Sagbo is the first black person to hold any type of elected office in Russia. He is a councilman in the village of Novozavidovo. While loved in his hometown he admits that there is still racism in Russia so much so that he does not even feel safe enough to go to the nations capital, Moscow.
