Niece of Dr. King ask black voters to take a look at Herman Cain

Now this will probably not help Herman Cain much. Right now Alveda King is more remembered as one of the people who spoke at Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor Rally rather than the niece of Dr. King.

This may not the best thing if you are really trying to reach black voters who are overwhelmingly democrats and have no love for Glenn Beck and his ilk. Read her statement's below. George Cook AAreports.com. Author of the Kindle book Let's Talk Honestly: One Black Man's Thoughts $1.50

Alveda King statements on Herman Cain:

King told The Christian Post she is not officially endorsing him at this time.

"I met Mr. Cain several years ago. He was speaking at an event regarding the importance of making the world better for our children and grandchildren. He is a prayerful family man, an astute businessman, a man of positive values and principles. I am praying for his success," King told CP in an email.

She has also heralded Cain's pro-life stance in a Priests for Life blog. "In our many conversations Mr. Cain has remained solid for life, marriage and family. He is also a successful, practical and solid strategist and problem solver," she wrote.

In the Herman Cain Train video, King proclaims, "America needs someone who is steadfast and yet contemporary, someone who can speak to every generation and across the generations." She then encourages viewers to "get on the Herman Cain train."

And to think, the Republican Party was formed to end slavery and democrats formed the KKK. In the beginning of the KKK movement, Republicans were not allowed to join as they were called Nigger Lovers and they scared Republican voters away from the polls in the south back then. FDR messed the game up with the New Deal because blacks jump ship for “A Chicken in every Pot”. It wasn’t until LBJ that black folks were able to get that check every first of the month, by then, the Civil Rights movement had us hooked on donkeys. I broke down all those truths just to say this fact, MLK was a Republican. As side note or disclaimer, I like Cain because he is from GA and he is a smart conservative businessman and I like Obama because he is smart and his presidency shows us that it’s not the white man that is holding us down, it’s us holding ourselves down.
