Let's keep it real here. No matter if you are a democrat or republican none of us can be happy with our elected officials in Washington DC right now.

A sitting President of the United States had to go on national TV and tell seniors and disabled veterans that they might now get their social security checks on August 3.

That's an embarrassment to us all.

I believe that if those seniors and disabled veterans wont be getting their checks then neither should President Obama or Congress.

They should not be paid from this day on until they resolve this debt ceiling issue. I don't mean payment should be delayed or put in some escrow fund until they resolve it. I mean for each day this goes unresolved they get nothing, nada, zero until they resolve it.

If you are I go to our job and not work we don't get paid or get fired.

It should be the same for our officials in Washington DC.

I wonder how many of them will sign a pledge to do that?
