Sharon Walker
At AAreports.com I love to feature regular everyday people who go above and beyond to give back to their community. One such person who is Sharon Walker who has organized a drive to bring free school supplies to students in the Bronx, NY. If you can give please help Sharon out. I and AAreports have already stepped up. I would ask you to do the same. Read the AAreports interview with Sharon Walker below:

George Cook- You are having an event in August, please tell us about it.

Sharon Walker- Rosa's Resources: Back to school children event, Joyce Killmer park on 161 & 164 bet Grand Concourse and Walton in the middle of the park closer to Walton ave . Aug 31 from 1pm til 5pm.

George Cook-What gave you the idea to do this?

Sharon Walker- I got involved with this event because I love children and I think the are misunderstood. Every adult that I know always want to blame the youth but I say we all should look in the mirror because their a reflection of us.

George Cook-Are you involved with education through PTA or anything or did you just see a need an decide to address it?

Sharon walker- My company Rosa's Resources started out doing beauty fashion entertainment events but I also have a social responsibility . The out reach part of my company will cater to children and domestic violence and whoever need my help.

No , I'm not involve with any PTA group but I do attend the PTA meetings in my child school.

George Cook-You have gotten a radio station to sponsor you, can you tell us what station and how that came about?

Sharon Walker- WBLS will sponsor my event but there only coming out to promote themselves. For visual i guess. No donations from them. I asked. I'm in contact with many business people via networking so I always have my business cards whenever I'm having an event I send out a blast email and they said they'll make an appearance.

George Cook-Do you hope to make this an annual event?

Sharon walker- I do hope to make this into an annual event. We'll see the out come of this upcoming event and make my decision after. I'll stay positive.

George Cook-Do you prefer donations of actual school supplies or money?

I'm not picky any supplies or donations are fine. I just want the children to have some products for school and take some stress off the parent. There's a shelter down the block from me and I see how the children run the street. I just want to make a difference and how I'll inspire others to do more in their communities.

George Cook-How can someone contact you? If someone would like to send a donation where can they send it to?..

My contact info: Sharon WAlker, 917-209-8015 , makeupcherry@yahoo.com or donations vial : rosasresources

If someone want to get in contact with me via mail just call or email and i'll send private message.
