The GOP is becoming the intolerant & uncaring "Let em die " party. Do they care?

During recent GOP debates some very troubling things have happened. Not from the candidates themselves but from those Republicans and Tea Partiers in the audience. Crowd response to questions from gay soldiers, about an uninsured man dying, and about the death penalty received surprising and very disappointing responses.

Now I know there will always be a few troublemakers in any crowd, but that is not the issue here. The issue I have is why at the moment these things happened didn't any one of the nine GOP candidates speak up? Why at least didn't they say that type of behavior is inappropriate and that as Americans we are better than that?

Now I know some of you are going to say, "Hey George the GOP has always been this way."

Maybe so but until the Tea Partiers became a force they had to keep that BS in house. Now to get Tea Party votes and to avoid the Tea Party's wrath GOP candidates and the party itself are going through the see no evil hear no evil routine.

Here are three shocking examples of what the GOP is becoming because it's leadership would rather pick up votes than do the right thing and challenge this nonsense.

Crowd cheers the execution of 234 in Texas

Crowd cheers letting an uninsured man die

Gay soldier serving in Iraq booed

Is this the future of the GOP? If it is then this is the future of the United States if the GOP/ Tea Partiers win in 2012.
