Troy Davis execution delayed as US Supreme Court decides his fate.

Looks like we are in for a long night as the US Supreme Court makes it descision on whether or not to grant a stay of execution for Troy Davis. It taked five votes to get the stay of execution. Let's all hope Clarence Thomas is not the deciding vote. George Cook AAreports.com

[ SOURCE ] Georgia inmate Troy Davis is scheduled to be executed Wednesday for the 1989 murder of Mark MacPhail, an off-duty Savannah police officer. Supporters have sought to prevent the execution, saying seven of the nine witnesses against him have recanted or contradicted their testimony.

The execution was scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, but the state of Georgia has delayed it because the Supreme Court hasn't yet ruled on a request from Davis' lawyers to issue a stay.
