Is Marvel bringing another black super hero to the big screen?

[ SOURCE ] Rumor has it that Marvel is set to feature another black super hero in one of it's movies. Marvel, believe it or not has been pretty good when it comes to diversity on the big screen.

One of Marvel's first successful comic book movie adaptions was of course Blade who was played by Wesley Snipes. That was followed by the even better Blade 2. Blade Trinity is being ignored here because as far as I'm concerned it was so bad it doesn't exist.

Marvel has also featured Halle Berry as Storm in the X-Men, Will.i.mm as John Wraith, Idris Elba as Heimdall in Thor, and of course Samuel. Jackson as Nick Fury. And yes I know that technically Nick Fury although a hero is not a super hero.

If the rumors are true we can now add the comic book character Falcon to the mix. Falcon would appear as Captain America's side kick in the sequel Captain American: The Winter Soldier

Falcon is one of the first African-American heroes to appear in a mainstream comic. The character debuted in Captain America #117. His real name is Sam Wilson, and he grew up in Harlem.

Falcon's suit gives him the power to fly and enhances his strength. He is also a martial arts master. He can also telepathically talk to birds. Something tells me the part about telepathically talking to birds will be mysteriously dropped.

The rumors also put out the possibility that none other than Anthony Mackie would assume the role of Falcon.

We don't know if it's really all that important to be apart of the European American form of diversity because in the end it really doesn't benefit African Americans economically, politically or socially
