MOMMY, a poem for Mother's Day

Here is a poem I wrote in 2004 for my first book Let's Talk Honestly " My Poetry". The poem is titled MOMMY and I feel it is very appropriate on Mother's Day.

MOMMY

This is for the mother who always looks a mess
But always makes sure that her children look their best

This is for the for the mother who doesn't need time "for me"
Her kids come first and she only thinks of "we"

This is for the mother who would rather be alone
Than to confuse her children by bringing some strange man home.

This is for the mothers that makes every sacrifice
For her most valued gift, the children she gave life

On second thought this thank you is not for mothers

....It's for mommies.

I love you Mommy.
